How about an exclusive journey across the Channel to the Channel Islands? Indulge in our 7-day Channel Islands Cruise, a unique experience that begins and ends in Gosport.
Embark on an exhilarating adventure with a sail across the English Channel to Alderney, where we'll spend a night to savour this hidden treasure. Then, we'll head south to Guernsey, the perfect base for island hopping to explore the islands of Herm and Sark, anchoring in secluded bays accessible only by boat. Depending on time and tides, we might even venture to Jersey for a night ashore before our voyage back to Gosport.
Prepare to be captivated by the sheer beauty of the Channel Islands. This is an opportunity not to be missed!

Join a Solent Sailing Mile Builder, and you'll get an exceptional sailing experience with tailored individual mentoring to build your confidence and all-important mileage log.
We organise several Mile Building trips (starting in the Solent) days, weekends and longer trips over 60 nautical miles (for those working towards Yachtmaster) for individuals and groups throughout the year. So come down alone or with friends, enjoy a fantastic time on the water, benefit from our skippers' experiences, and add valuable miles towards your next sailing qualification!
Gain Confidence
Mile-building voyages are great for doing just that - building miles. However, with miles and time on the water comes experience and, just as necessary, confidence in your abilities as a sailor. With our mile-building trips, we will work with you to develop your boat handling, boat safety, crew management and navigational skills.

Mile Building Solent To Gain Experience
RYA sailing courses such as Day Skipper are a great start but will only take you so far - you need to build up experience to take you further and build your confidence, especially if you are looking to charter a yacht on your own or, you are working towards your Yacht Masters qualification.
Passage Planning
Mile-building sailing trips are about safely getting from one place to another to build up the miles, so a suitable passage plan is vital. As part of our mentoring, you will be involved in planning and executing the passage plan so you learn as much as possible while on the boat.
Night Sailing
Night sailing experience is an essential part of mile building (many yacht charter companies insist on a night sailing passage on your log) - the sea looks pretty different at night, and large commercial ships can appear quickly. We'll show you how to prepare for night sailing and be safe and competent after dark.
These experiences are all weather dependent * and include:

*You should plan for a possible delays to the schedule on the cross channel experience.
